Good game last night everyone. For a group that hasn't played together as a whole, things look promising. Very encouraging that when we got down, everyone was still out there hustling and giving it their all. As we become more familiar with each other, our play will go to the next level and the next time we see the Nordiques, they'll be speed bumps in our path to the championship!

Thought I'd post a few thoughts on last night's game...

Most of their goals were scored on an odd-man rush, mostly because they liked to cherry-pick. Going forward, whoever is staying back on defence needs to make sure they keep all opponents in front of them, so we can avoid the 1-on-0 and 2-on-0 odd-man rushes.

Pretty good game overall, I see a lot of promise. We never gave-up, and we had a number of shifts in which we passed well and had good pressure in their zone. If we play the way we did in the 2nd & 3rd periods, we'll be a force to be reckoned with!
